Note: Starting this week, all refined items (Cooking, Smithing, Crafting) will be cleared at the end of each weekly round (Sunday 3pm ET). Make sure you cash in all your refined items before the snapshot weekly. Refined items are any item that you can cash in for Favor with Quartermaster James

Updates

  • Islands Chat is now live! use /i in chat to send messages to all players currently on the Island and docked Islets.

  • Islands in Joryn's interface are now sorted by player count (most active players at the top)

    • Islands in this list also show players online on each island + islets

    • Islet Portal view also shows players online on each Islet in the list

  • Minimap now has a custom chunking system that allows it to be more performant (previously was causing micro-stutters on movement due to the massive size of the map / minimap)

    • Duel Arena minimap re-enabled

  • Skill Leaderboard has been added to the Caldaron Duel Arena lobby ⬆️

  • New Graphical effects (chromatic aberration, vignette, other shader updates)

  • Lighting effects on/off removed to preserve visual fidelity when game footage is shared

  • Tool degrade chance reduced by 10x

  • Fixed some issues with the lobby and error handling, maintenance screen showing improperly

  • Added scale compensation to keep player sprite grounding consistent across scales, fixing collision offsets, movement oddities, and tree interaction / shaking misalignment.

Patch v0.3 includes some major changes to Islands gameplay and skilling!

Islands Skilling Changes

  • Island Biomes are live! Biomes determine what Secondary drops you get from Skilling

  • Cash in directly via Quartermaster James on the Island instead of holding in bank

  • Mando's Favor from Supply Drive is now dynamic based on 12hour Priority bonuses, relative supply, etc. other multipliers

  • Leaderboards showing Favor earned across skills and top refiners

  • New Skill: Gathering (Fiber) -> can craft cloth at the Crafting Station

Other

  • Energy Orb Revenue

    • 60% of Energy Orb revenue will be used for AT burns

  • Rare Drops from Skilling boosted significantly, now chances scale on Energy burned

  • All Rewards rebalanced

    • Dueling

      • 500k Favor per 1 ETH staked

        • Slightly reduced

      • ~1M AT per 1 ETH (has diminishing returns)

        • Reduced from 2.4M

      • 150k Energy per 1 ETH

    • All energy costs the same across the extraction skills (Fishing, Mining, Gathering)

    • Energy cost based on Tier (200/400/800/1600)

    • Balanced proportionally to Favor (higher tiers have slightly higher base Favor relatively)

    • Rare Drop (voucher, relic) chances based on Energy consumed

    • Woodcutting costs flat 20 Energy per action and does not roll Rare Drops

  • Energy Orbs now available in shop for 300k AT

  • Social Fishing / Gathering on main Island added

  • Various updates to map / npcs / sounds etc. on Islands

  • Lowered Founder/Island Boost for Energy Orb

    • Now up to 8% boost if Island / Founder holder

    • Because the boosted Rare Drops (esp. Relic) RTP is so sensitive, these would result in essentially free AT if left at previous values

  • Added Faerie Gacha Key (750k AT) and Christmas Key (500k AT) back to Shop

  • Energy Orbs give 10k AT per use to smooth the flow
