Excalibur
TL;DR

Excalibur is a reward pool funded by Duel Arena volume. 1.5% of all ETH or RON staked on duels is collected and pooled, building the pot. Duel Winners have a chance to win and sweep the entire pool, with the chance to win based on the wager amount - the higher the amount staked, the higher your chances. The chance to win is also curved to slightly increase the chances of lower stake duels to win. Chance to win is capped at 2%, at a 5,000 USD total wager.

Excalibur winners also win the "Excalibur Sword" - an untrade-able item that they can keep permanently and wield in game. After winning Excalibur, players also get a 1.3x additional multiplier (on top of any existing multipliers) on Mandrogan's Favor (seeOverview) earnings as a temporary buff. This buff lasts until someone else wins Excalibur.
Stake-Based Scaling
Max Excalibur stake target: $5000 USD At this level or above, you hit the maximum roll chance.
Max probability to win:
2%This is the upper bound for the Excalibur chance.
getExcaliburStakeScaling Function
getExcaliburStakeScaling FunctionExcalibur chances have progressive scaling to give smaller stakes a slightly better chance, tapering off as the stake nears the max:
For example, a $100 stake results in:
stakeFactor = 100 / 5000 ≈ 0.02
scaling ≈ 1.97
Rake and Cumulative Contributions
1.5% of total stake is pooled into a cumulative Excalibur pot
That value is converted to ETH if the stake was in RON - both ETH and RON share the same Excalibur pool
The pool accumulates until a winner rolls successfully, then:
The winner claims the entire Excalibur pool.
The pool is reset to 0.1 ETH (min win)
