Gathering skill is gained when harvesting herbs, harvesting fiber, and smashing mystery objects in the game world. To harvest fiber, you must have a sickle, which can be obtained from the Arena Shop in the city center. Note that in order to harvest higher tiers of fiber you will need to have a sickle of the same tier, or one tier lower.
