# Boosts

The new **Boosts System** introduces new expedition-boosting buffs that make each expedition feel different and more exciting. Boosts are **random consumables** that drop while you play (skilling, killing monsters/players, or opening Mystery Objects). They can only be used during the current run, and vanish to dust on death or entering a safe zone.

Important rules:

* Boosts **only work for your current run**.
* They **disappear** if you die or enter a **safe zone**.
* High-tier boosts - especially **Tier 4 -** can temporarily turn you into an **absolute monster** if you manage to get multiple of them over the course of a run

## Boost Types

There are 9 Boost Types, each with 4 Tiers of effects.

* Strong Ale - reduces stress by 10/30/50/200
* Lucky Charm - increases current reward multiplier by 5%/15%/35%/100%
* Rabbit's Foot - increases reward multiplier by 250/500/750/1500
* Body Rune - reduces incoming damage by 4%/12%/25%/50%
* Relentless Fury - increases attack speed by 5%/10%/30%/50%
* Unshackled Power - increases special attack regeneration by 10%/25%/60%/100%
* Cosmetic Wealth - increases artifact drop EV by 5%/10%/20%/50%
* Bounty Gather - adds +X% chance to gain additional resources per action
* Overclock - increases skilling speed by 3%/8%/16%/35%

## How to Get

Boosts drop through a variety of methods during your expedition:

* Skilling
* NPC Kills
* Mystery Objects
* Player Kills

## Boost Tier

Whenever a boost drop is triggered, it rolls a Boost Type, and the Boost Tier

* T1 - 50%
* T2 - 35%
* T3 - 13%
* T4 - 2%

Tier probabilities do **not** depend on region, source type, or zone tier.
