Preview: Day 3 Guild Tariffs (Monday) 💰
After day 3, new tariffs will be slapped on Guilds that lack the size and influence to resist the growing influence of the Paymasters, whose silver backs most of the ingame coins economy and pays for the guards, upkeep of the Capital, and more.
• Top 5 Guilds – 0% tax on Loot cash-ins (no change) • Guilds Ranked 6–25 – 5% to 14.5% tax paid to Paymasters, scaling by rank • All Other Guilds & Solo Players – Flat 15% tax on Loot cash-ins
Guild Rankings are based on total Guild Royal Favor points accumulated by guild members in the last 24 hours (rolling window, updated hourly). They are viewable on a public leaderboard in the Capital City.
Top 5 Guilds: Guilds that reach the top gain prestige, but also public resentment and targeted attacks: • Yellow Nameplate: Members of the current Top 5 Guilds are marked with a golden name, visible to all players • Top 5 Guild members drop all equipped items on death (instead of the usual 1 item). They also lose all items on PvE death. • Mark Duration: This effect lasts while you're in a Top 5 guild, plus 1 hour after leaving • No Market Access: Top 5 Guilds cannot create new buy/sell orders on the auction house, forcing them to rely on player<>player trade
FAQ:
Is there a cap on guild size?
No.
What happens if I leave a guild?
There will be 24-hour cooldown before you can rejoin or join another guild
Am I impacted as a solo player?
No.
Strategy:
• Climbing the leaderboard reduces your tax burden and increases your Guild's wealth share • Time your Loot cash-ins wisely—your guild rank at the moment of cash-in determines the tariff • All Corrupted Loot loses value over time (via “Luster” system), earning less Favor and fewer Coins if not cashed in immediately • Smaller guilds and Paymaster-funded bounty hunters may find it worthwhile to target Top 5 guild members, who are marked, vulnerable, and tax-exempt
