Event: Dungeon Warfare

Overview

Recent discoveries of Gold Ore in the Mining Dungeons have set off a frenzy of activity in New Cambria. The Crown has set up a temporary Dungeon Pass system in an attempt to contain the madness (while collecting silver for the Royal Treasury). Royal Statisticians estimate the Ore Deposits in these Dungeons to be worth up to 1.5 billion Silver

Timeframe

  • Duration: Until all the Gold Ore is mined

The Dungeons

  • Five Gold Ore mining spots are strategically placed throughout the complex dungeon layout

  • The dungeon is extremely large with multiple levels, passages, dead ends, and hidden routes

Dungeon Passes

  • Guild Mine Passes (item) cost 150,000 in the Armory shop (Sousin). Passes are untradeable, does not drop on death. Must be in inventory when you enter into any Dungeon entrance.

    • Price for non-Guild Mine Pass: 20,000 silver

Gold Ore Mechanics

Each Gold Ore is worth 500 Royal Favor / 15,000 Silver, and weighs 3kg.

Other Notes:

  • After 100,000 Gold Ore is mined, all the Gold Ore mines run dry

  • There is 1 large Gold Ore that is 3x more productive than the other ones

  • Mining requires level 70+ Mining skill. Mining Speed scales on Mining Level, and Pickaxe

  • Gold Ore is extremely heavy

  • When mined, ore must be physically carried to dungeon exits to be secured

  • Dying with Gold Ore causes all carried ore to drop (100% lootable by other players)

Invocations - Pay to create Chaos in Dungeon (talk to Bard in City)

  • Cyclops Spawn

    • Choose number of Cyclops - scale cost in silver

      • 5 Cyclops (100k) - 50 Cyclops (300k) - 100 Cyclops (500k)

  • Poison Gas

    • 750,000 Silver to flood Dungeon with Poison Gas

    • For 1 minute, turn on Poison Gas -> deals 150 poison damage per 5s to everyone within a region

    • If Poison Gas already active, prevent new initiation

Guild Rewards

  • Top guild by Silver extraction: "Gilded" Guild Achievement / Banner (permanent)

  • Top 5 guild members: "Dungeon Blindness" - 1 time emote, specific to this event

Individual Rewards

  • Top 10 Solo Miners

Other Changes

  • Stress accumulation is reduced by 25% inside the dungeon during the event

  • Players do not skull inside the Dungeon, or incur skull-related stress damage

  • Equipment dropped on death only loses 25% durability

  • Home Teleport spell is disabled while carrying Gold Ore

  • Rewards for all mobs reduced by 25% during event

  • Will the Gold Ore incur Paymaster taxes when cashed in? Yes, based on current Guild ranking when we open the Gold Ore cash-ins.

  • Will I be able to cash in Gold Ore immediately? No, we will push out another update with the ability to cash in Gold Ore

  • Can I cash in Gold Ore as a Solo Player? Yes, you will be able to, it will be the same as cashing in an artifact

  • Can I leave the Guild if I have Gold Ore? No, you will not be able to leave a guild if you have Gold Ore in your inventory or bank

  • Can I kick a guild member that has Gold Ore? Yes, but if they contributed, they may claw back some of their earnings.
